Dr. Anthony Fauci’s NIAID was deeply involved. A top Fauci aide, David Morens, was indicted in April 2026 for allegedly concealing records and evading FOIA requests related to COVID origins.

- **Trump Administration**: While Trump later distanced himself and signed orders against risky research, his first term did not fully stop the funding pipelines. The 2026 Trump administration is now cracking down — with DNI Tulsi Gabbard investigating over **120 U.S.-funded bio labs** abroad and pushing to end dangerous gain-of-function research.

- **Biden-Harris**: Continued stonewalling, pardons, and cover-up allegations around COVID origins.
